BCC Media Network has raised ₹2 crore in a seed round led by BeyondSeed. Rajkot Venture and Mrunal Jhaveri also took part in the round, which the Mumbai media company announced on 7 November 2026.
The fresh capital will go into building original shows and strengthening the network of properties BCC already owns. The company plans to grow that network to more than 125 properties and 25 original shows by March 2027.
What BCC Media Network already runs
BCC owns more than 50 digital properties that together draw about 200 million monthly views. The portfolio spans 30 plus Instagram properties, eight YouTube channels, two newsletters and four websites.
Its current slate includes Desi Hustlers, Legacy Brief, a football banter show, the Marathi entertainment channel Khidki and the kids superhero universe Era of Tara. The new money will fund original intellectual property across startups, AI, pop culture, regional, sports and kids content.
The founders behind the network
BCC is led by founder couple Pawas Jain and Bhagyashree Jain. Pawas serves as Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, while Bhagyashree is Founder and Chief Executive Officer.
Pawas is a Chartered Accountant who moved into media instead of practice. He co-founded The Tech Portal in 2014, later built Bharat Samvaad, and went on to lead product at moneycontrol.
At CNBC-TV18 he ran product strategy for three years. Users grew 500 percent in that period, revenue rose 100 to 150 percent in eighteen months, and he launched new verticals and a Hindi edition that passed 5 million monthly users.
Bhagyashree founded The Disposal Company in 2020 and ran it for six years. The climate tech platform became India’s leading plastic neutrality platform, recovering more than 750,000 kilograms of plastic with operations across India, Southeast Asia and the UK. She was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia in 2024.
Why owned distribution is the bet
“Attention has moved from TV channels to social feeds, but very little of what fills those feeds have an ownership and commands retention. We are building the opposite: properties we own outright, and shows that can live across them for years.”
Pawas Jain, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, BCC Media Network
The idea is simple enough to state and hard to execute. Rented attention spikes and disappears, while an audience a company owns returns on its own. BCC is betting that shows built on properties it owns outright will compound in value over years rather than chasing each feed cycle.
“Media rewards compounding. Every property we add makes the next IP cheaper to launch, and every IP gives our client brands a stronger reason to partner with us. This round lets us invest in what compounds.”
Bhagyashree Jain, Founder and CEO, BCC Media Network
The context supports the bet. A Boston Consulting Group report found that India’s creators influence 350 to 400 billion dollars in consumer spending every year, a figure projected to pass 1 trillion dollars by 2030. The same report counts 2 to 2.5 million active digital creators in the country.
The investor and the new advisor
BeyondSeed led the round. The platform invests in early stage startups and works closely with founders on growth, and Kuldeep Mirani serves as its Co-founder and Group CEO.
“BCC is building what most digital media players don’t: owned distribution that compounds. Pawas brings deep media experience and Bhagyashree a strong entrepreneurial track record. It’s a rare combination, and we’re glad to lead this round.”
Kuldeep Mirani, Co-founder and Group CEO, BeyondSeed
The round also brings a new advisor to BCC. Arjun Vaidya has joined the board as an advisor, bringing consumer brand experience from building Dr. Vaidya’s into India’s largest online Ayurveda brand and exiting to the RPSG Group. He now co-founds V3 Ventures, the venture investing arm of Verlinvest.
What comes next
The capital will fund new original intellectual property and deepen the network BCC already runs. The March 2027 target of 125 plus properties and 25 shows sets the pace, and the test will be whether shows built on owned channels can hold audiences without depending on rented reach.
