Chapter Home Raises Rs 63 Crore From Bessemer, Stride Ventures to Build Home and Kitchen Brands

Chapter Home has raised Rs 63 crore in equity and debt from Bessemer Venture Partners and Stride Ventures at a near Rs 1,000 crore valuation.

The News

Chapter Home has raised Rs 63 crore in a mix of equity and debt from Bessemer Venture Partners, Stride Ventures, comedian Tanmay Bhat and a group of family offices. The round values the company at nearly Rs 1,000 crore, roughly a year after its founding.

The startup is building a portfolio of consumer brands across the home and kitchen segment. Its first brand, HOKIPO, sells home furnishings online, and the company plans to expand into cookware, home decor and small kitchen appliances.

Where the Money Will Go

The fresh capital will fund product development, new category launches, technology and brand building. A part of the money will also scale the company’s omnichannel distribution, which spans marketplaces, quick commerce platforms and its own direct-to-consumer channel, with first physical retail touchpoints in development.

Chapter Home was founded in 2025 by Nitin Chugh, Akarsh Bharadwaj, Shrey Mittal, Dhiraj Jain and Dheeraj Goyal. All five were part of the founding and leadership teams at PharmEasy and its parent API Holdings.

The company runs sourcing, supply chain, content, technology and distribution on a shared platform across its brands, and uses AI for tasks from cataloguing and content creation to demand forecasting and customer retention.

What the Founders and Investors Say

“That is why we are building focused brands for each category across Home and Kitchen,” said Nitin Chugh, Co-founder of Chapter Home.

“Chapter Home’s approach of building a focused brand for each part of the home on a shared technology, sourcing and distribution backbone fits how this market actually works,” said Anant Vidur Puri, Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners.

Market Context

India’s home and kitchen market is large but deeply fragmented, and Chapter Home is positioning itself between unbranded products of inconsistent quality and expensive premium offerings. Investor interest in the segment is steady.

Home decor marketplace Vaaree raised Rs 65 crore in August, and D2C homeware startup HomeEssentials raised Rs 70 crore in a pre-Series B round. Chapter Home is also not the first venture to emerge from the PharmEasy alumni pool. AllHome, founded by PharmEasy cofounders, raised Rs 200 crore in a Series B round led by Bessemer earlier this year.

Our Take

The bet is that Indian households will pay for better-designed, dependable products across more rooms of the home, and that a shared back end makes each new brand cheaper to launch than the last.

Whether that math holds will depend on execution across sourcing, offline retail and repeat purchases. But a near Rs 1,000 crore valuation in its first year shows how strongly the backers believe in this founding team.
