Following the footsteps of its competitors, Google announced on Thursday that the company will be manufacturing Google Pixel smartphones in India.
The company will be manufacturing the phones under the ‘Make In India’ initiative that promotes the idea of manufacturing products in India itself instead of importing from other countries.
As per the latest updates, Google will be manufacturing Pixel 8 in India which will be made available in 2024. The phone was launched recently and is the latest in the Pixel series of mobile phones. This initiative will be helpful for both the Indian economy and the consumers as they can expect a price decrease on the latest mobile devices.
Not just Google, but companies like Apple are also focusing on setting up their manufacturing units in India. Some major tech giants also took the initiative to increase their production through Indian manufacturing units.
