Eyewear unicorn Lenskart has acquired artificial intelligence-based computer vision startup Tango Eye for an undisclosed amount.
Lenskart aims to make use of Tango Eye’s technology to enhance its in-store experience.
Founded in the year 2018 by Surender Gounder, Tango Eye is an AI startup that uses computer vision to analyze the footfall of retail stores. The CCTV footage of stores re used to analyze the footfall.

We have now extended the technology even to our factory where we are ensuring much more reliable QC standards through AI. As per the details, Lenskart was an early investor in Tango Eye. The company had invested funds in Tango Eye in the year 2020. The acquisition will help Lenskart improve its customer experience through the use of AI.
