Bengaluru-based fixed investment startup Tap Invest(formerly Leaf Round) has raised $2 million in its seed funding round. The funding round was led by Turbostart, a known player in the Indian startup ecosystem. The round also saw participation from Snow Leopard Ventures and a few angel investors including Kunal Shah.
Founded in 2021 by Nischay Nath, Soumya Kushwaha, and Himanshu Chowdhary, Tap Invest offers a tech-empowered platform that allows their users to invest in diverse income streams.
As per the startup, they have onboarded more than 12,500 active investors who regularly invest in fixed-income categories like Asset Lending and Invoice Discounting. These investors have in total invested more than 150 crores. The raised funds will allow Tap Invest to expand its presence, offer various other investment products to its users, and scale its operations over time.
The startup will also need to bring more awareness to this investment category as there is still a lack of awareness among young investors.
