TravClan, a Delhi-based business-to-business travel technology startup, has raised $5 million in funding from Flipkart and August One, along with debt financing from Trifecta Capital.
The company announced the round on October 22, 2026. With this raise, TravClan has taken its total funding to more than $11 million from investors including Leo Capital, The Ventures, Hashed, August One, Flipkart and a group of angel investors.
The plan for the money
TravClan said it will use the capital to deepen its global supply network, expand its technology and artificial intelligence capabilities, and strengthen destination operations across key international markets.
The company signs contracts directly with hotels and activity partners and runs its own ground teams across Southeast Asia, the Middle East and India. It provides end-to-end destination services across more than 18 markets.
More than 15,000 travel agents across India use the platform to book flights, hotels, activities and destination services. The company says it processes over $100 million in annual travel sales, and about 40 percent of that business now comes from Tier II and Tier III cities.
What the founders say
“The next generation of travel software will not just help sellers search faster. It will increasingly execute work for them. Our ambition is to make TravClan the infrastructure that any travel business can build on instead of having to recreate the entire travel stack itself. This capital allows us to invest aggressively behind that opportunity,” said Arun Bagaria, co-founder and CEO of TravClan.
The wider context
TravClan was founded in October 2018 by Arun Bagaria, Chirag Agrawal and Ashish Thapliyal, who had earlier held leadership roles at OYO, TravelTriangle and Cars24. The startup sells to travel agents and travel businesses rather than to travellers.
Flipkart’s participation follows its October announcement that it had picked up a minority stake in TravClan. The ecommerce giant said the investment would strengthen the international holiday offerings on Cleartrip and Flipkart Travel, its two travel businesses.
The bet is on outbound travel from India, which keeps growing. Indian nationals made more than 30.89 million departures in 2024, according to Ministry of Tourism data compiled by CEIC. TravClan says a growing share of that demand comes from first-time travellers in smaller cities.
Our take
Owning supply and running ground operations is the slow way to build, but it gives TravClan pricing power and reliability that a booking interface cannot match. The real test is whether its AI tools can move from planning itineraries to executing them end to end for agents.
