FarmDidi is a D2C food brand focused on empowering rural women through handmade, preservative-free products like pickles, chutneys, and masalas.
Founded in 2021, the brand combines traditional recipes with strict hygiene and quality standards to deliver high-quality food made by trained rural women, lovingly called “Didis.” FarmDidi currently works with over 600 Didis and has already created a positive impact across 50+ villages in India. Their products are available online, and the brand has earned the trust of over 4 lakh customers.
The company was started by Manjari, her husband Anukrit, and her sister-like friend Asmita after they discovered a powerful insight, rural women reinvest over 90% of their income into their families’ health and education. This inspired them to build a model that uplifts women economically while preserving India’s rich food heritage. With a background in engineering and social work, the founding team brings together tech, empathy, and execution to scale meaningful impact through FarmDidi.
FarmDidi offers a wide range of handmade food products crafted with traditional recipes, certified hygiene training, and zero chemical preservatives. Their product range includes mango pickles, spicy and sweet pickles, mixed pickles, chutneys, and pickle masalas. All products are vegetarian, with Jain-friendly options available. The brand ensures FDA and FSSAI approval, free shipping, and cash-on-delivery across India, making it easy for customers to enjoy safe, tasty, and nostalgic flavors at home.
FarmDidi gained national attention when it was featured on Shark Tank India, where its mission and quality impressed the judges and audience alike. The platform gave the brand a wider stage to share its purpose-driven model and the powerful role it plays in rural women’s lives. Since then, FarmDidi has grown rapidly, continuing to stay true to its core mission, empowering 1 million rural women through food entrepreneurship.
