Two brothers, Satyajit, and Ajinkya Hange left their corporate jobs in Mumbai, Gurgaon, and Pune and returned to their village to pursue their passion for organic farming.
In 2012, they started Two Brothers Organic Farms (TBOF) as a seed-to-shelf organic products company with land inherited from their father and ancestors and their personal savings. Following four years of dedicated effort, the Hange brothers began producing and selling items such as ghee, jaggery, moringa powder, flour, turmeric, and more.
TBOF has expanded from selling in malls and farmers’ markets to selling its products across India and 45 countries globally, including the US, New Zealand, Singapore, the Middle East, and Australia, in more than 680 cities.
The company sells its products through its website and e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. Social media plays a critical role in driving interest and website traffic for the brand.
TBOF has also started “Organic Farming Clubs” in collaboration with schools in Pune and has trained over 9,000 farmers in organic farming techniques.
The Indian organic food market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 24% during 2021-2026 and TBOF faces competition from established players like Organic India, Organic Tattva, Dabur, Patanjali, and Pro Nature Organic Foods.
