Seoul-based AI startup, Sidewalk Entertainment, has introduced its K-Pop dance AI platform, STEPIN, to over 170 countries globally, marking a significant step into the international market.
STEPIN is a K-Pop dance platform that uses real-time motion-tracking AI technology. It offers Practice and Challenge modes, enabling users to learn and score their dance moves. Users can also compete in real-time rankings using the precise movement analysis feature.
What makes STEPIN unique is that it can track dance moves accurately using just a smartphone, without any extra gear.
The platform launched in Southeast Asia in September and has since improved its functionality based on user feedback. It now supports nine languages, including English, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, and Indonesian, making it accessible to a global audience.
Kibong Kook, CEO of Sidewalk Entertainment, believes that STEPIN is a game-changer in the world of K-Pop dance. “STEPIN is a new form of service that applies advanced AI technology to K-Pop dance,” he said.
“With features like scoring and rankings, the enjoyment and fun of K-Pop dance are drastically elevated. We aim to establish a novel trend for a new wave in the worldwide K-pop scene.”
The STEPIN platform integrates social media and gaming, allowing users to enjoy K-Pop dance at any time and from anywhere. Its scoring system is a standout feature, enabling users to challenge themselves and others globally. This accessible approach makes it a fantastic tool for K-Pop enthusiasts and aspiring dancers.
Sidewalk Entertainment’s entry into the international market with STEPIN is set to further fuel the global K-Pop phenomenon. With its innovative use of AI and user-friendly features, the platform will likely attract a wide audience and encourage more people to join the K-Pop dance craze.
As STEPIN continues to evolve and expand its reach, it promises to be a key player in the worldwide K-Pop scene, creating a fresh wave of enthusiasm for K-Pop dance worldwide.
