Wow! Momo, a Kolkata-based chain of Quick Service restaurants, has raised INR 75 Crore or $9.1 Million from ValueQuest Capital. It is part of their Series D round and is the only funding round for the brand this year by now.
Founded in 2008 by St. Xavier’s College alumni Sagar Daryani and Binod Homagai, Wow! Momo runs three QSR brands named Wow Momo, Wow China, and Wow Chicken.
As per the brand, they have 600 company-owned and operated outlets across 30 cities in India. For the stores, the company has employed 6,000 employees too. The company is working on its new format named Wow! Eats opened in Chennai and Hyderabad.
With this new format, Wow! Mom will be having all its three brands in one store. Along with that, the company is also having trials for its fourth brand Wow! Kulfi.
“Our goal is to reach a top-line revenue of Rs 650-700 crores this year, up from Rs 435 crores last year.” Murali Krishnan, co-founder and CMO, Wow! Momo said.
