ZappFresh, a meat delivery platform, has successfully raised Rs 30 crore (about $4.3 million) in funding.
This recent investment, co-led by Ah! Ventures, HT Media, Unity SFB, and Heifer Impact, bring the total funds secured by the Gurugram-based company to nearly $14 million.
The newly acquired funds will be utilized for various purposes such as acquiring new businesses, expanding operations, and upgrading infrastructure in both North and South markets.
ZappFresh also aims to introduce fresh product lines, including poultry, goat meat, seafood, and ready-to-eat items, aligning with customer preferences and changing needs.
The company, founded in 2015, stands out as the only profitable meat delivery platform in the country. Planning to further strengthen its position, ZappFresh intends to diversify its product range and solidify its market presence through strategic acquisitions.
ZappFresh’s business model revolves around sourcing fresh meat and fish from local farms, processing them at their facilities, and then delivering customized cuts directly to customers through their app and website.
While ZappFresh’s rivals like Licious and FreshToHome operate on a larger scale, they have been facing substantial losses in their operations.
In contrast, ZappFresh claims profitability, delivering an average of 4,500 orders daily, each with an average value of Rs 600.
CEO Deepanshu Manchanda expressed the company’s commitment to growth and customer satisfaction. With a focus on customer needs and expansion strategies, ZappFresh aims to continue its successful journey in the competitive market of online meat delivery services.
