Mahendra Singh Dhoni Backed Drone Company Garuda Aerospace Raises 25 Crore In Funding

Drone startup Garuda Aerospace, backed by former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has raised INR 25 Crore in a fresh bridge funding round. Venture Catalysts and WeFounderCircle led the funding round.

Founded in 2015 by Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Garuda Aerospace is a drone manufacturing startup that focuses on the Drone-As-A-Service model for organizations. As per the company, they have helped more than 750 clients with various types of drones including customized drones for disaster management, product deliveries, and more.

Some of the prominent names from their client list are Tata, Godrej, Wipro, Swiggy, Flipkart, and more. The company has also employed more than 200 employees and has worked on 350 projects with a team of 500 Pilots as well.

As per the team, the fresh funds will be used to scale the company’s operations to cater to the increasing demand for its products and services.
