You don’t need a fancy degree, a big city network, or a huge investment to start a successful business. Entrepreneurship doesn’t wait for perfect conditions. If you have the passion, skill, and willingness to work hard, you can build something remarkable from almost nothing. No matter where you come from or what resources you have, it’s the mindset and execution that make all the difference.
Today, we will be sharing the inspiring journey of Mr. Rajat Kumar Singh, the founder of Star Tech Corporation.
From working as an electrician to freelancing with just ₹12,000 in hand, he built a trusted industrial solutions company that now generates over ₹6.5 crore in annual revenue. His story proves that with the right intent and consistent effort, it’s possible to rise from a small-town setup and build a high-impact business.
Built to Solve Bihar’s Biggest Industrial Service Gaps
The early days were far from easy. Rajat Kumar Singh saw firsthand how industries in Bihar and Jharkhand struggled with poor after-sales support for industrial air compressors. Customers often faced long delays, unskilled technicians, and unreliable service. These issues were not just frustrating, they were costing businesses time and money.
This clear gap became the starting point for Star Tech Corporation. Rajat focused on providing fast, consistent, and high-quality maintenance services. Instead of chasing scale from day one, he built trust, one service call at a time.
His practical approach and personal commitment began to set the company apart. Slowly, the same customers who were once hesitant started coming back. Even better, they began referring Star Tech to others, a sign that the company was solving a real problem the right way.
The Journey From Electrician to Entrepreneur
Rajat Kumar Singh’s professional journey began as a Maintenance Electrical Engineer after completing a diploma in electronics. But his first job was not in a big company or a fancy setup. It was as an electrician in a small-scale ancillary unit, taken purely out of necessity to support himself.
That early experience, though far from ideal, taught him the value of hard work, persistence, and staying grounded.
Years later, those lessons became the foundation for Star Tech Corporation. Today, Rajat leads a growing industrial solutions company that serves clients across Bihar and Jharkhand.
With a turnover of ₹6.5 crore in the last financial year and a strong technical team in place, Star Tech is now a trusted channel partner for global brands like Atlas Copco. The company’s rise from humble beginnings shows what consistent effort, technical skill, and a clear vision can achieve. And this journey is just getting started.
When a Missed Opportunity Became the Motivation
The idea for Star Tech Corporation was born out of a mix of frustration, necessity, and belief. After working in several technical roles, including at a well-known Atlas Copco dealership, Rajat Kumar Singh realised that he had the skills and customer trust but not the platform to grow on his own terms.
When a promised salary hike didn’t happen, he was faced with a choice, keep waiting or take a leap. He chose to start.
With just ₹12,000 in hand, no office, and no brand name, Rajat began freelancing. He saw a clear gap in the industrial air compressor market in Bihar and Jharkhand. Customers were struggling with poor service and lack of reliable support.
“I believed I could fill that gap with honesty and consistent service,” says Rajat. “Starting Star Tech was never just about building a business. It was about proving that someone from a small town, without money or connections, could still build something trusted and professional. Every step we take today still reflects that original goal—to serve better, grow stronger, and set an example for others.” – Rajat Kumar Singh, Owner at Star Tech Corporation
Where the Business Stands Today
Star Tech Corporation has shown consistent and impressive growth since its founding in 2020. What began as a freelance venture with just ₹12,000 has now grown into a ₹6.5 crore industrial enterprise serving clients across Bihar and Jharkhand.
The company’s focus on reliable service, strong technical support, and customer trust has driven this steady rise.
In its first year (FY 2020–21), the company closed at ₹62 lakh. The following year, revenue increased to ₹83 lakh, followed by a sharp jump to ₹3.2 crore in FY 2022–23. In FY 2023–24, the turnover rose to ₹4.22 crore, and most recently, in FY 2024–25, Star Tech recorded ₹6.5 crore in revenue. These numbers reflect the company’s strong market positioning and the growing demand for dependable industrial service providers in the region.
Plans for the Next Phase of Growth
Star Tech Corporation has come a long way, but the journey is far from over. With a clear roadmap for the next five years, the company is now focused on scaling operations, expanding reach, and strengthening its service foundation to create long-term value.
The first area of focus is geographical expansion. Having built a strong presence in Bihar, Star Tech aims to extend its services to Jharkhand, Odisha, and key industrial zones of West Bengal. The goal is to serve Tier-2 and Tier-3 regions where quality industrial support is still lacking.
Next is product diversification. While air compressors remain the core offering, the company plans to add solutions in industrial automation, energy-efficient systems, and utility equipment to offer a more complete package to clients.
To support this growth, service infrastructure will be further strengthened. Investments will go into technical training, spare parts inventory, digital service tools, and a 24/7 support model to ensure fast and reliable service at all times.
The company is also focusing on team and culture. A structured training program, clear career paths, and leadership development tracks are being planned to help employees grow along with the business.
With these steps in place, Star Tech is targeting an annual revenue of ₹25–30 crore within five years. The focus remains on delivering value, building strong client relationships, and setting a new standard for industrial service in Eastern India.
