Get To Know The Founders
7eventzz was created by two old friends and associates: Vishal Gupta and Harsha Kedia. They are both from finance backgrounds and 7eventzz is a product of their time during their CA years.
Today, Vishal’s responsibilities include marketing and developing the organization’s future growth strategy.
Harsha is in charge of overseeing all operations and customer service.
Apart from the Founders, 7eventzz has 7 employees, 10+ freelancers, and hundreds of vendors across India that contribute to the success of the firm.
An Eventful Beginning
7eventzz came to being quite unexpectedly. Vishal and Harsha, still completing their CA, had a successful social media presence called Asian Weddingz. The Instagram page was highly popular and had about 180k followers.
The duo had posted a random decor shot on the page when people began admiring it and inquiring about rates. This led the duo to create a new page called “7eventzz,” where they began uploading random decorating photographs and received inquiries from all across India.
A year ago before this, the duo had experienced a failed business called Ohhjee.com, a vendor aggregation platform that was also an event planning website. They put around 2 lakhs into the business, but it flopped miserably. They were 21 at the time and had no understanding of how the business worked.
However, even if the business had failed, Vishal and Harsha now had relationships with decorators all across India.
In contrast to Ohjee.com, 7eventzz was established at random, and the founders didn’t invest a single dime for the first four months. They launched the business from their house during the lockdown and got all of their bookings through Instagram. This way, they saved a lot of money.
Afterward, the duo established a modest office near their house with only 4 employees, and 7eventzz started to grow from there.

The first is an aggregator, which will merely link you to vendors. They are simply third-party merchants.
The second option is the provider, who will use their own assets with the assistance of specialists and artisans to ensure the quality of the decoration. Providers work closely with the clients to deliver a personalized touch.
7eventzz falls into the second category, as it provides high-quality, low-cost services across 100 cities in India. In each city, the company has a hand-picked team of decorators that work relentlessly to provide high-quality services on time.

The team behind 7eventzz came from a place of zero experience but with hard work and dedication, they are experts in the field now. Practical knowledge and a keen sense of event management have brought them to success today.
The founders admit it was difficult to leave their financial careers behind, but their respective families were fully supportive of their decision.
With Steady Services Come Steady Growth
Initially, 7eventzz would get 1-2 bookings per day on Instagram. But soon after it established its own user-friendly website, the number jumped to 7-8 bookings every day. Today, it has grown to 12-13 bookings and 7eventzz hopes for 20+ bookings per day, by the end of the year.
Today, the company has updated its website to include new features, cities, and products and services.
Within 1.5 years of operations, it has surpassed $4 million in revenue. Organic website traffic has surpassed 100,000 within a year of the website’s introduction. 7eventzz has a massive presence on various social media such as Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube.
Decorating The Future
7eventzz is planning to create an offline store, and add additional experiences for couples and children on its website. It also aims to create its first private movie screening plus a romantic dinner set up for couples in Kolkata.
