Rotoris Raises Rs 70 Crore Led by Blume Ventures to Take Its Indian Luxury Watches Global

Rotoris has raised Rs 70 crore in a Series A round led by Blume Ventures to expand production and take its limited-edition watches to Mumbai and New York.

Gurugram-based Rotoris has raised Rs 70 crore, about 8.5 million dollars as stated by the company, in a Series A round led by Blume Ventures. The independent watch house will use the money to deepen research, expand production and grow its Rotoris House footprint in India and abroad.

The round also drew in 9Unicorns and Centricity, along with family offices linked to Diwakar Goel, Atul Singh and Adhiraj Burman. Actor and television host Rannvijay Singha also invested, joining a cap table that already includes more than 30 founders from the seed round.

What the new money will build

Research and production sit first in the plan, because a limited watch house cannot scale by making more of the same thing. Every piece is assembled and tested by hand at the Rotoris Atelier in Gurugram, so capacity has to protect the finish and the numbering that buyers pay for.

Retail is the second leg. Rotoris House is an appointment-based space for meeting clients, and the company plans to take it beyond Delhi to Mumbai and New York. Co-founder Aakash Anand has pointed to New York, saying many owners live there and that is why the house is going there.

A Registry, not a shop window

Rotoris does not sell through open retail. Buyers register through the Rotoris Registry, an invitation-based system, and watches are allocated from named chapters with published run sizes. That scarcity is the product as much as the watch itself, and it shapes how the brand can grow.

The first test of that model came in February 2026, when a founding chapter of 2,100 numbered timepieces sold out within days of launch. Since then close to 100,000 people have registered for access, and the company says about 40 percent of demand comes from outside India.

The company names the United States, Dubai and Australia among its overseas markets. That spread matters for the next phase, because Rotoris House openings in Mumbai and New York will serve two very different buyer bases at once.

Two collections that carry the pitch

Manifesta sets each dial in natural stone, from lapis lazuli and imperial jade to white mother of pearl and pietersite, so no two dials are alike. Astonia is a 42mm chronograph in steel, titanium and carbon, built around a Swiss movement.

The design creates the desire, but the engineering, assembly and attention to detail earn the trust. We are building both sides of Rotoris with the same level of intention,

That is Prerna Gupta, co-founder of Rotoris, on why the house treats engineering as part of the brand rather than a backroom job. The watches use machinery from Switzerland, and assembly was set up under guidance from Swiss horologists whose careers span Patek Philippe, IWC and Tiffany and Co.

For the 2026-27 Manifesta production, the company has added solid 18K white gold details and two case sizes, 40mm and 36mm, while keeping the open-heart design. The movement for that run is a Japanese Miyota 82S0 automatic, a reminder that Rotoris mixes Swiss and Japanese movements by collection.

Astonia shows the other side of the range. For the 2026-27 production cycle the company has limited Astonia to 2,175 watches across five variants, with the next collection expected in April 2027. Finite runs, published numbers and individual caseback numbers are meant to hold prices and protect early buyers.

Why Blume is backing a watch house

Rotoris was founded by Prerna Gupta and Aakash Anand, and Gupta leads the house with a focus on premium brand building and client experience. Anand previously built and scaled Bella Vita through to a full exit, which gives the venture a founder who has taken a consumer brand to scale.

We are backing their vision to make an Indian brand shine amongst global icons, and the timing has never been better,

That is Karthik Reddy, co-founder and managing partner at Blume Ventures. The Series A follows a 3 million dollar seed round in December 2025 that included Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath, Venture Catalysts and 100Unicorns, along with actor Vivek Oberoi and creator Tanmay Bhat.

Blume manages more than 800 million dollars across its funds and has backed Purplle, Cashify, Ultrahuman, Spinny, slice, Turtlemint and Servify. Blume also co-led Cent’s 15 million dollar Series A for preventive health scans, a very different bet that shows the firm’s appetite for Indian companies building for global markets.

What to watch next

The announcement gives no opening dates for Mumbai or New York, and no valuation or revenue figure for the round. That leaves the real test in the open, because Rotoris must add production and new cities without diluting the scarcity that sold its first 2,100 watches in days.
