Where there’s a company, there are people.
Then, it means that it is a huge job making sure all those employees do their jobs efficiently. They need to collaborate seamlessly and be satisfied and productive in their work.
Management of human resources is a huge deal; as it should be for any company that wants to be successful. Like with all facets of business today, HR too has gone through a digitization process. Most companies depend heavily on IT for most of their processes, and HR shouldn’t be (and isn’t) an exception.
GreytHR helps HR departments of all sizes use IT to increase productivity and efficiency, regardless of the size of their team—whether it has five or fifty thousand workers.
GreytHR is the best friend of HR managers since it automates all people operations, including personnel information management, leave and attendance management, training, assessments, remuneration, and much more.
Meet the “Greyt” Founders
The CEO and co-founder of GreytHR is Girish Rowjee. GreytHR is now a leading provider of HR & Payroll solutions, under Girish’s leadership, and can process more than 15 lakh user records each month.
As one of India’s pioneers in the B2B cloud sector, he helped establish GreytHR as the industry leader in cloud payroll and human resources, with more than 15,000 paying clients in India and the GCC.
Girish got his engineering degree from SJCE Mysore. He was one of the original founders of iSPIRT (Indian Software Product Industry Round Table) and serves as a mentor at the Founder’s Institute in India.
The other GreytHR co-founder is Sayeed Anjum. Since 1994, he has been overseeing all facets of product development, spanning requirements engineering, usability, programming, and quality, emphasizing streamlining the process.
Sayeed is in charge of product development, R&D, and innovation labs. He is a corporate member of NASSCOM and a member of TiE, and he has a Master’s in Computer Applications from SJCE in Mysore.
Other important members of the team include Mohammed Azhar (Chief Sales Officer), Krishna Prasad (Chief Product Officer), and Unnikrishnan Raghavan (Chief Knowledge Officer).
The Inspiration Behind GreytHR
It was abhorrent enough to think of working for a large IT services company and maintaining legacy code. The founders at GreytHR wanted to use the most recent tech stack and tools because they valued creating original content.
Thus, they were inspired to launch a business so that they could develop valuable software that many users would find beneficial.
In order to give Indian firms access to IT and automation solutions, Greytip began as a custom software development company. But very early on in its trip, the founders saw that, among other things, there was a sizable gap in the automation of human operations.
The owner of a company was typically in charge of overseeing all of these tasks in small businesses, and any failure to do so would negatively affect their reputation.
GreytHR saw a chance to support and benefit businesses across a range of industries. The concept of working in the field of human processes originated from this, and the initial version of GreytHR’s software was created.
Let’s Look Into It In Greater Detail
Girish Rowjee and Sayeed Anjum, two buddies from college, formed Greytip Software.
They started their quest two decades ago to create a recognizable technological brand. They focused on the HR sector after considering several options for product development and seeing the difficulties faced by HR departments.
They found that practically all businesses that employ people are required to provide a range of employee services, carry out a variety of duties on a daily basis, and make sure that all applicable rules and regulations are followed.
Organizations suffered as a result of subpar HR work caused by a lack of effective automation technologies. As a result, the duo set out to solve the issue of conducting an efficient HR and payroll function for our clients. GreytHR was the end result. GreytHR, a cloud-based HR & payroll software that automates and streamlines the entire HRM process, was introduced by the firm in 2011.
The platform, designed for small and medium-sized organizations, provides 40+ capabilities in areas like core HR, payroll, leave and attendance, statutory compliance, expense claims, employee self-service (ESS), and more. For employees, greytHR also provides a fun smartphone application. It is evident why 15 lakh+ users in 15,000+ enterprises across 150+ cities in India, the GCC, and other nations now prefer it.
Software is only one aspect of GreytHR. It offers a full learning environment for seasoned and aspiring HR professionals.
Greytip, a firm with over 500 employees, is continually developing to provide more clients across industries with inexpensive and cutting-edge solutions.
Info Edge, NEA, and Blume Ventures made investments in the company due to its business philosophy and prominence in the industry. Additionally honored at The Economic Times Best Brands 2021 was GreytHR. It is the first brand of HR technology to be given this distinction.
Additionally, greytHR earned a spot on two of G2’s lists and was honored at the 2022 Best Software Awards in the HR Software category. The founders of Greytip Software were been named among Asia’s Greatest Leaders 2021–2022.
